I lived in the radius of five trendy shoes stores in Downtown LA. Some nights I would see lines of people who were waiting all night for the newest shoe to drop. On other nights there would be people sleeping in the doorways, sometimes without shoes. This stark contrast spawned a series of shoes made with available material. Cardboard, Nike boxes, recycled canvas, and more.
